First aiders help in stabbing drama
Volunteers from St John Ambulance in Kent were first on the
scene of a double stabbing in the Medway Towns on
Saturday 19 December.
On arrival at the scene, the St John Ambulance team found two
men with life threatening stab wounds outside a
private residence in the Medway Towns.
Following arrival of the South East Coast Ambulance Service and
the Police, the victims were stabilised and transported to Medway
Hospital, with St John Ambulance transporting the patient with a
stab wound to his thigh, and SECamb moving the victim with serious
chest wounds.
Both victims had suffered life threatening injuries

says, ‘Fortunately the icy conditions did not impede our arrival to
the scene or our journey to hospital, as both victims had suffered
life threatening injuries. The victims are currently being treated
in the Intensive Care Unit of Medway Hospital and we understand
from the police that three people have been arrested in relation to
the incident.’
