London to celebrate the 24th New Year’s Day Parade.
St John Ambulance in London deployed 60 first aid
volunteers, including Cadets,
for one of the World’s great street spectaculars – The New Year's
Day Parade.
The parade, which celebrated its 24th year, saw over 10,000
performers from around the world entertain the crowds. The new
2.2 mile route saw them travel from The Ritz
Hotel, Piccadilly, to Piccadilly Circus, then turn right in to
Lower Regent St, Waterloo Place, Pall Mall, Cockspur St, Trafalgar
Square, in to Whitehall and all the way to Parliament Square.
Not long after the New Year celebrations, our committed volunteers ensured the safety of spectators at this world famous event.
