Operations and emergency support
Brian Rockell
Overseeing the area of the organisation that looks after
volunteers, Brian can speak about recruitment and retention of
volunteers, the training we give volunteers so they provide a
professional service, our relationship with ambulance trusts,
regulations applying to vehicles we use and the good work our
volunteers do in their communities.
Roger Chatterton

Roger is the most senior volunteer in the organisation, his role
being the voluntary equivalent of a CEO. His role is to formulate
the voluntary strategy of the organisation and assist volunteers
throughout the country in helping them work towards our vision. He
can therefore talk about the importance of volunteering and the
changes St John Ambulance is making to make sure we are modern and
relevant in today’s society.
Harry Dymond

As a senior volunteer in the role of Chief Commissioner
Operations, Training and Marketing, Harry is well placed to speak
about the part volunteers play in emergencies, such as the summer
floods of 2007, and the dedication of our members in helping their
communities through first aid, transport and care. As Chair of the
First aid at work council Harry is also aware of the latest HSE
advice on first aid at work.
Seamus Kelly

As Deputy Chief Commissioner Operations Seamus can talk about
the role that volunteers play in helping their communities. Until
recently, Seamus also had a senior role in the London operations,
leading on the first aid for events like the London Marathon. He
also received an OBE for his voluntary work including his
assistance during the 7 July London bombings.
