Running events
Team St John has hundreds of runners each year who take part in
various events throughout the UK and abroad. You can run distances
from five kilometres through to marathons and all the money you
raise is used to support the vital life saving work of St John
Ambulance.

How do I get a place in an event?
We have a number of guaranteed places in the following
races:
All we ask from you is a non refundable
registration fee and a pledge to
raise a certain amount depending on the event. It is really simple
– take a look at the various running events, then download an
application form or register online if available.
Alternatively contact the events team on 020 7324
4172 or email
us with all your details.
While training, and especially on event days, runners are
plagued with potential injuries. To prevent, or treat, your running
injuries equip yourself with our first
aid for runners guidelines.
What happens after I have registered?
On receiving your completed application form or online
registration, the events team will send you a welcome pack which
includes details about our work, fundraising advice and sponsor
forms. We will then be in touch with you again before the race to
send you further details about your run and your St John running
vest.
Remember we are here to help. So, if you have any queries about
your run, including what time the race starts, what is the best
time to get there, where to put your running number or any other
questions you might have, please call 020 7324
4172 or email
us.
If you have received your welcome pack but haven't heard from us
since and it is a week before the race, please call the number
above.
What if I want to run as part of a company, sports club or
team?
If you think you can put together a team of runners from your
company, sports club or a group of friends, please call 020
7324 4172 or email
us as we may be able to reserve you a set number of places.
I have a guaranteed place in a running event and would like to
raise money for St John Ambulance. What do I do?
Please send us an email or call 020
7324 4172 and we will be happy to offer you the same level
of support as our other runners and will start by sending you a
welcome pack. This contains information on the work of St John
Ambulance, fundraising advice and sponsor forms. We will be in
touch before the race to send you final details and your running
vest.
I don't know if I will be able to raise the full
amount. What shall I do?
Please contact us on the above number as we will be able to
give you some great fundraising tips. We are here to support you
every step of the way.
For any questions or queries please call the events team on
020 7324 4172.
