Youth first aid

This assessed course can be delivered using the Young first aider pack and provides comprehensive training in first aid for young people.

St John Ambulance believes that it is never too early to start learning first aid and that all young people should leave school with these vital skills. On successful completion of the course, the young people will receive a Youth first aid certificate. This course replaces Young Lifesaver Plus.

Who is this suitable for?

Young people aged 11-16 years old in schools and youth organisations.

Course duration

12 hours.

Assessment and certification

There is a practical assessment at the end of the course carried out by a St John Ambulance registered assessor. A St John Ambulance certificate, valid for three years, is issued on successful completion of the assessment.
